Peter Burke's attempt to prove that there was such thing as creative adaptation involved a number of sources of ranging views. Francis 1st who was an admirer of adapting Italian ideas hired a sculptor called Cellini. Bruni's view of Florence already shows a factor of biasness as he is the Chancellor of Florence and therefore is a big believer in Italian greatness. Overall all the sources show dissimilar views on whether Renaissance ideas were spread by creative adaptation or not. Of course the sources could not suggest a difference between this as there was no such term as 'creative adaptation'. These sources can therefore only be used to prove how much adaptation there was at the time by the use of reliability. .
