Introduction Since 9/11 and the subsequent war on terrorism, Muslims in Britain have felt under constant scrutiny and subject to unfair treatment purely on the grounds of their religion. Much of the information included in the regulations relate closely to the 1976 Race Relations Act which can be said to be successful in promoting equality in the workplace and empowering individuals to use their rights in the workplace. Considering the effect the Race Relations Act has had it is hoped that other groups which were previously not provided for in the act can now benefit from this increased protection. However, as previously stated a clear definition of religion and in particular belief is open to interpretation.
