Coronary Heart Disease may be initially caused by high blood pressure or aging. If it is high blood pressure, blood starts to pump around the body with more turbulence, causing the arteries to become damaged. With aging, the arteries could have worn out and the inner surface damaged due to long usage. This damage makes the smooth glistening membranes that line the arteries to become roughened. Most of the factors lead to Hypertension which then leads to Coronary Heart Disease, so if people start to manage their blood pressure and keep it Normal, I predict that they would be much less likely to develop Coronary Heart Disease.
