There are many different views and theories of what management and work organisation actually is and how it should be conducted. Management and work organisation and their importance have changed over time with the process of industrialisation and changes in society and its views. started arguably by Adam Smith in 1765, we see strict divisions in modern day companies. Most big companies have a variety of departments like, sales, marketing, accounts, IT, board of directors and many more. Some companies are split into regions like north or south, or even international regions. We can see the earliest of theories on work organization still apparent in the 21st century.

I believe that Taylor's theories have not been eradicated in the 21st century, but simply modified and improved, to give an improved modern day interpretation taking into account more the feelings of the workers
