Dentistry is a career in healthcare that works in the mouth. Dentists are trained to diagnose, prevent, and treat various problems associated with teeth and mouth tissue. It is the job of the dentist to be fully aware of different types of dental problems and be able to recognize those problems through analyzing x-rays, as well as visual variation between individual mouths. Dentistry is a highly successful, demanding, and rewarding career. It is those individuals who can make it through the necessary schooling that will become successful dentists. A career in dentistry not only includes ones ability to diagnosis dental problems by the book but the individual in the career must also be strongly adapt at person to person skills because it is only then, when the patient and doctor can communicate, that the career of dentistry can be successful. Dentistry will always be a job because the necessity of keeping healthy teeth and mouth will never disappear.
