INTRODUCTION: Pakistan is the agriculture country and water reservoirs have got great importance concerning Pakistan economy. Kalabagh dam is one of those mega projects that have great importance not only politically but economically too. We have been getting this hydropower from Mangla dam, Tarbela dam, Rawaldam and few more. But these dams are not producing enough water for irrigation and hydropower. Yet another option, which has become a reality very recently is the formation of "World Commission on Dams" which is a voluntary organization formed by eminent experts in multidisciplinary fields connected with dams sector like engineers, agriculturists, environmentalists, public administrators, sociologists and others. This commission has plans to develop comprehensive criteria for viability of darns from multi-dimensional angles and would be willing to render their objective advice wherever sought. Their headquarter is located in Durban, South Africa. Possibility of seeking their advice in resolving the continued stalemate can also be considered.
