Aim The aim of the investigation is to see the effect light intensity has on the rate of photosynthesis. Background Information The rate of photosynthesis is affected by a number of factors including light intensity, temperature, water, carbon dioxide and availability of nutrients. If the conditions the plant needs are improved the rate of photosynthesis should increase. The maximum rate of photosynthesis will be constrained by a limiting factor e.g. light intensity. This factor, light intensity, will prevent the rate of photosynthesis from rising above a certain level. Even if other conditions needed for photosynthesis are improved....
wattage lamp could be used so that when the wattage increases or decreases so does the light intensity. Even though these factors occurred and could have been resolved they didn't seem to make a big impact on the results or the shape of my graph. A different experiment could have been used to conduct to obtain the results for this investigation. A beaker could be filled with water, with a funnel, placing a test tube with pondweed over the funnel and counting the no. of bubbles produced yet this would still take a lot of your time.

Hypothesis: The higher level of concentration of the sugar solution, the greater reduction of the potato cylinder will be. Prediction: I think that the higher the concentration of the sugar solution, the bigger the length difference will be. This will be because the water molecules will flow out of...
