The theme of Hamlet"s personality and mood continues throughout the play, some may describe him fickle others may say he is professional in his composed emotion in public. Either way Hamlet"s frame of mind - is under continual scrutiny by the audience - even at points question his sanity. This is evident from the first act alone, which charts just how violent his mood swings can be and they are no more reserved later on in the play. We ourselves can only interpret his moods as we re given them and as an audience we never to see what Hamlet"s real personality is. Which raises my final question "does Hamlet himself even know what his real personality is?"
