Bletchley Park is situated 50 miles northwest of London, it is here that mathematicians, code breakers and others were sent to intercept and crack codes sent out by the enemy. In 1938, war seemed inevitable, Hitler had already invaded Austria and Czechoslovakia. There was a school for code breakers called The Government Code and Cypher School, it was, at first, based in London, but it was decided that it should be moved elsewhere because the intelligence workers needed to continue unhindered by air raids. If a message was sent on to MI6, then it was there that the proper course of action would be decided. Bletchley Park was crucial to the war and my support shows this. It is said that the breakthroughs from the huts actually saved many lives by shortening the war by 2 years, not only this, but the war would certainly have been lost without Bletchley Park.
