At the begin of the 1900's people from all over the world were emigrating to America in search of "The American Dream". They left behind them their problems, of hunger, poverty and poor standard of living, to start again, a second change. At least they thought they were leaving their problems behind them. the WASPS, had emigrated from their homes to America in search of the same things as the new immigrants "The American Dream". I think that it very ironic that the WASPS thought it was fine for them to take over America but not for the new Immigrant because they thought of themselves as native to America, however the only true native, the people who America really belonged to was the native American Indians. If they did not think of themselves as superior to the immigrants many of the problem that America would not have occurred.s
